About Ogeam
The news you didn't know you needed, because most of it isn't real.
Ogeam is a satirical news outlet dedicated to poking fun at politics, culture, technology, and the everyday absurdities of modern life. We publish headlines that sound just real enough to make you do a double-take — and just ridiculous enough to make you laugh once you realize what you're reading.
Everything on this site is satire and parody. None of it is real news. If a headline made you nod along before you caught the joke, that's not on you — that's just good satire.
Our Mission
We believe laughter is one of the best ways to process a world that often feels too strange to be true. Our writers dig through the day's headlines, arguments, and trends, then ask the question that matters most: "What's the funniest possible version of this?" The answer usually ends up on our homepage.
Our Story
Ogeam started as a handful of writers trading jokes about the news in a group chat, wondering why nobody had turned their sense of humor into headlines yet. Somewhere between the third bad pun and the first article that actually made someone snort their coffee, Ogeam was born. We've been chasing that same reaction ever since.
How We Work
- We read the actual news so you don't have to be quite as annoyed by it.
- We write headlines first, because if the headline isn't funny, nothing else matters.
- We publish daily, because absurdity doesn't take days off.
- We take our jokes seriously and everything else considerably less so.
A Note on Satire
Satire works by exaggerating reality until the truth in it becomes obvious — or at least becomes funny. We don't publish factual reporting, and nothing on this site should be treated as such. If you're new here, welcome; if a headline gets you, that's the whole point.
